1. Drink Up
Drinking water is essential for all areas of health, and most of us don’t get enough daily. Avoid alcohol and caffeine-containing beverages, which act as diuretics and accelerate water loss.
Instead, sip water regularly to replenish levels of hydration and encourage the elimination of toxins and waste in our bodies that can contribute to the problem of cellulite. So, drink up – as long as it’s water!
2. Eat Clean
Just as water has a detoxifying effect, eating a clean, healthy, plant-based diet can do the same. Avoiding over-processed, high-sugar, and trans-fat-filled foods stops the system from becoming a toxic stew, which ultimately shows on our skin.
Steering clear of high-sodium foods helps reduce bloating, while chowing down on foods that are full of fiber encourages elimination and the removal of built-up waste, all of which contributes to the problem of cellulite.
3. Prevention Products
There are thousands of products on the market that claim to help get rid of cellulite, and it can be hard to know which are worth spending our hard-earned money on. When shopping for an effective cellulite cream, look for a brand that not only helps reduce the look of cellulite but also prevents it from forming.
4. Work it Out
No amount of exercising is going to completely get rid of all cellulite – even Olympic athletes have it! – but no doubt toning the skin, increasing muscle, and losing body fat can reduce the look of those lumps and bumps.
Cutting down on calories is beneficial too, as long as the skin doesn’t become loose, as that will increase the look of cellulite. Working out also has the added benefit of boosting the circulation, moving blood and lymph for healthier-looking, invigorated skin.
5. Massage Mania
One of the most effective ways of reducing cellulite is to massage the skin, especially when using a specially formulated cellulite treatment. The circular, higher-pressure movements of applying the cream help to increase blood flow, and just as with exercise, move lymph and trapped toxins from the affected areas. Exfoliating scrubs are also recommended as they rid the skin of dead cells, giving the area a brighter, healthier glow.
6. Maximum Moisture
While hydrating from within is a vital part of healthy, cellulite-free skin, using highly moisturizing creams and lotions is also vital. Look for ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane when choosing a product, as they can attract moisture, smooth the surface, and plump the skin, giving it an even, lump-free texture.
